packaging inspiration

My pal Celeste Smith hosted over at Write.Click.Scrapbook. speaking on the topic of INSPIRATION. She asked for volunteers to contribute layouts and I chose one based on packaging

I like how this layout turned out. It has girly colors, which are so Isabella. It has loads of homemade elements. And I even managed to get vintage book pages in two places...in the scrunched book page flower in the lower right hand corner and in the border punched paper strip to the left of the photo of Isabella. After all, it is a layout about reading AND Nancy Drew. You guessed it, I even managed to get some baker's twine on there.

If I had to pick a favorite element of this page, it might be the hand cut felt flower with the seed bead centers that mimic the sprinkles on one of the cupcakes. Or maybe the crinkled and tattered 4-layer flower. Well, anyway, this layout makes me smile.

BTW-Did you catch the pose? The look on Isabella's face? The sleuthing kit she has? And she just loves wearing Mommy's scarf, which fit perfectly with the inspiration piece and her shirt. Lucky me.
