happy anniversary

6.21.2010  at 9:16 PM

My husband and I celebrated 12 years of friendship and love this month. And, instead of making a card for my husband, I created this little mini-book. I know, you're shocked. You would never guess that Monika would make a mini-album would you? Ha...I {heart} mini's. And I {heart} my Zutter Bind-it-All.

EDITED TO ADD: This post receives so many views from Pinterest, that I thought I should add a link to where you can purchase this Alphabet of our Love mini book in my Etsy shop, if you don't have the time to make one yourself.

Use the coupon code ALPHABET for 15% discount on any purchase over $30.00.
Previous orders not eligible.  |  Code must be entered at checkout.

Each letter of the alphabet was typed in a different font and color. I used my own handwriting for the explanation of what each letter of the alphabet stood for. I felt that is added a personal touch to a very heartfelt gift. Other options would be to use your alphabet stamps or even type the explanation in your font of choice while you're designing the cards.

Thanks for stopping in!

  1. What a super sweet idea! I'm sure your husband loved it because you put your heart, soul and most of all your love into making this just for him! I'm always looking for ideas for our anniversary, this looks like one I'll have to borrow.

    Thanks for sharing!

  14. I LOVE this! I've been creating books based on the alphabet for the past four years so this is right up my alley! I use photographs to go with each of the 26 words that I choose for what I call an Alphabitty Moment book.(http://campgroundcubs.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-is-alphabitty-moment.html) - I'm in the process of making a book for my daughter's first year instead of doing a baby book, but it never crossed my mind to make one for my husband - thanks for the inspiration!

  17. Hey Monika! I love the idea and I'm trying to make one similar for my boyfriend. What size paper did you use?

  18. You could probably just use any size index cards and that would work fine. Have fun!
