in the spotlight :: kelly, an etsy customer and design team friend

Okay, so I don't know Kelly in real life, but I know that we would have fun together. She and Wendy Smedley shared some Summertime Camp crafts while hositng the Write.Click.Scrapbook. blog last year and we {well, except for Gordon} all had fun making friendship bracelets. It was quite the project for us and makes me think we should try it with baker's twine this year!

Kelly e-mailed me asking if I could change some colors on a few prints as thank you's to friends and also create a few items for her son's room and I was happy to do so. She sent me this photo last week and I asked if I could share it with you. I just love that she used a bargain frame and the supplies she had on hand to make her own custom matting for the print. But, as she is an outstanding scrapbooker, would we expect anything less than fantastic?

Now a few words from Kelly:

I used some patterned paper from Stampin' Up and a sheet of dark red cardstock to frame the print. I hate buying mats because it seems so easy to just center things on scrapbook paper (that I already have an abundance of!). I found an inexpensive frame that matched my decor, and there you go! I really love this print because it can be used all year, or just put out for certain holidays. For me, it's a great reminder of what I cherish with my family.

I'm happy to say that I now have 13x19 prints in the shop. So many customers have been asking for that size and I've finally sourced some mailing tubes. Although I have sold some custom listings in that size, I am now happy to offer these as a standard listing. Almost every print that you see in the shop can be printed as a 13x19 and here are samples of what they would look like in your own home.

This first photo is a 12x16 sized print to fit a frame I already had:

and this is how gorgeous the Family Rules Subway Art print looks as a 13x19:
