meet smoky

We have a new family member.

As Victoria says, "Our family keeps growing and growing!" First Scout, our Border Collie pup, and now Smoky, a mink Rag Doll {I think I said that right}. It's not the first name we tried out on him. Actually, it was the first name Isabella came up with and we weren't crazy about it. But, we now feel that it suits him well.

He has a little cold, but seems to be adjusting well to his new home. And I just spied him purring while sitting in Spunky's lap out in the sun room, which says a lot!

    1. Oh, Hazel, I know that you have bittersweet memories looking at this photo. Do you think you'll get another cat anytime soon? Beware, more kitten photos to come!

    1. We have a few cats, too, but they're all outdoor cats. The girls are really looking forward to having an indoor pet to love and love on!

  5. SO adorable!! Love the name Smoky -- we had a tom-kitty when I was growing up named Smokey {the bear} . :) Love the rag doll kitties. Our good friends in ND have one, as well -- her name is Belle, and I think she's a little lighter than Smoky. I would love to have a rag doll, but Mike isn't really the cat type -- especially the "purebread" cat type. LOL! We did have a short-haired Siamese that adopted up when we moved into this house who had just about the same coloring as Smoky. I loved that cat -- and so did Mike, believe it or not! She was such a sweet kitty. Tell the girls to enjoy their "indoor" baby -- so fun to have a new family member! :)
