family forever

Here are the cards that we gifted to our Mom's on Mother's Day. They were created to go along with the gift boxes I made here and were super easy to make. And fun, too.

I trimmed some double-sided patterned paper from Momenta for the first layer, then used my 3" scallop punch to punch a shape in a coordinating pattern. I used a slit punch from Stampin' Up to thread my Lilac baker's twine from The Twinery through. I tied it on the right side, like you would if you were creating a shipping tag, wrapped it around the patterned paper and threaded it through the slot on the right before tying a bow. Now you can attach that layer to the card front.

Punch your heart shape and using some Wordfetti and Clear Layered Stickers from Momenta, layer then on top of your scallop shape.

I created my envelope wrap by scoring my cardstock and adhering the two flaps together in the back. I made it just loose enough so that it would slide off easily, but not fall off when the card was picked up. The puffy swirls are also from Momenta. I'm crushing on bracket shapes and my Real Estate punch is getting a real workout...I am using it all.the.time. Love it.

The bracket shape is adhered to the backside of the envelope wrap and the card has a little extra dimension by attaching the heart with 2 layers of pop dots on top of the bracket shape.
