month-in-review | april 2012

The most anticipated event for such a long time has been the arrival of Scout, our new Border Collie pup. Zach has had Duke for years and years now. He was the pick of the litter and we decided to keep him for ourselves. Duke is getting older and is having a hard time getting around, so Gordon thought it might be a good idea to introduce a new pup to the girls to help ease the pain if, and when, Duke is no longer with us. He thinks all kids need a dog to call their own.

We had originally thought that we would have Scout as an inside dog, but that just didn't happen. He did miss the comfiness of his indoor puppy pad in the laundry room but has so much fun outside trying to herd the horses, round up the cats and generally just be a pest to his "Uncle" Duke, who takes it all in stride and is never mean to Scout. Even when he has reason to be. Good Duke.

    1. Kelly - I found that this is a great way to jot down tidits of info that I might otherwise forget. I've been doing it for 2 years now and will definitely continue the tradition.

  3. He's so cute!! (And so is Duke!) I'm thinking I may have to do this next year -- perhaps I can keep up with something like this, because PL just didn't work for me. :/ LOVE your minis -- but you knew that! :)
