I'm a book nerd and I cannot lie. I have stacks and stacks of books to prove it. And then we have bookshelves full of books as well. And because I like lists and pretty paper I decided to create a journaling card set to document my read books and then another project card set to use in my memory keeping projects.
Here are the card sets I used to make my DIY Book Review Journal:
DIY BOOK REVIEW JOURNAL
This journaling card set comes with 4 cards on one letter sized sheet with trim lines for a 3x4 card. I used the Book Lovers set and used the Currently Reading card as my cover, but any of the other 3 cards would be equally perfect as a cover.
I had some random screws left over from back in the day when we scrappers used post bound albums, so I used one of those. But, I have used binder rings to make bind my project cards {see this post} and you can find 1", 2" and 3" book rings here.
CURRENTLY READING
Here's what I have on my reading list at the moment:
- Summer House With Swimming Pool by Herman Koch
- Every Fifteen Minutes by Lisa Scottoline
- Daughters of the Lake by Wendy Webb
Up next, but I really want it to be "up now" because I've heard such good things about the author, is King of Lies by John Hart.
Leave me a comment sharing what you're reading now and I'll choose a winner to win their choice of the Book Review Card Set or the Book Lovers Card Set.
I'm in the same boat right now - I think I'm literally reading about 5 different books. I'm trying to finish up a bunch of books that I only had a few chapters left to read. I tend to read a lot of heavy Non-fiction interspersed with some fun books. I also buy almost all my books at thrift stores so I have a TON in my house. On my night stand are the following: The Forgotten Man (non-fiction about the great depression); Becoming (Michelle Obama); Big Little Lies (haven't started yet); The Ship of Brides (JoJo Moyes); at least one James Patterson, and maybe one other that I can't remember right now!
