DIY Book Review Journal

I'm a book nerd and I cannot lie. I have stacks and stacks of books to prove it. And then we have bookshelves full of books as well. And because I like lists and pretty paper I decided to create a journaling card set to document my read books and then another project card set to use in my memory keeping projects.

Here are the card sets I used to make my DIY Book Review Journal:

Book Review Set                  Currently Reading Set

DIY BOOK REVIEW JOURNAL
This journaling card set comes with 4 cards on one letter sized sheet with trim lines for a 3x4 card. I used the Book Lovers set and used the Currently Reading card as my cover, but any of the other 3 cards would be equally perfect as a cover.

I had some random screws left over from back in the day when we scrappers used post bound albums, so I used one of those. But, I have used binder rings to make bind my project cards {see this post} and you can find 1", 2" and 3" book rings here.

CURRENTLY READING
I most often read several books at one time and today is no exception. There's always a book or two I've downloaded for free {Amazon Prime Reading, check it out} on my Kindle Paperwhite for when I'm reading late at night in bed or happen to be at appointments. Books are my favorite but the Kindle is so much lighter to carry around in my purse than a hardcover book, so there's that.

Here's what I have on my reading list at the moment:

  • Summer House With Swimming Pool by Herman Koch
  • Every Fifteen Minutes by Lisa Scottoline
  • Daughters of the Lake by Wendy Webb

Up next, but I really want it to be "up now" because I've heard such good things about the author, is  King of Lies by John Hart.

Leave me a comment sharing what you're reading now and I'll choose a winner to win their choice of the Book Review Card Set or the Book Lovers Card Set.

  1. I'm in the same boat right now - I think I'm literally reading about 5 different books. I'm trying to finish up a bunch of books that I only had a few chapters left to read. I tend to read a lot of heavy Non-fiction interspersed with some fun books. I also buy almost all my books at thrift stores so I have a TON in my house. On my night stand are the following: The Forgotten Man (non-fiction about the great depression); Becoming (Michelle Obama); Big Little Lies (haven't started yet); The Ship of Brides (JoJo Moyes); at least one James Patterson, and maybe one other that I can't remember right now!
