inspiration | page maps with becky fleck

Page Maps are sketches that help you take the guesswork out of documenting your stories as starting points for creativity. Becky Fleck provides inspiration each and every month with Page Maps for cards, 8 1/2 x 11, 12x12, 6x12, tags, round layouts, double page layouts, mini size layouts and even horizontal. You will be amazed!

Becky asked members of the Write.Click.Scrapbook. team to use her May sketches to create some layouts. I chose the 8 1/2 x 11 format and used the sketch designed by Becky below. You can find this Page Map and others here.

Although there are a few variations to embellishment placement, I stayed pretty true to the PageMap sketch. I used not only one tag, but two tags, but in a different places. In place of the balloons, I added chipboard buttons to the mini tag and in place of the two patterned papers and cupcake at the bottom of the layout, I substituted a large shipping tag and used a banner attached with a mini clothespin.

I'll be placing this layout in Isabella's album, hence the majority of pink. We don't often get a family photo, and even though this one is a bit blurry, blurry is better than none.

Now I'm off to finish Victoria's layout, which will be just like this one except with {of course} blue papers!
