big idea festival | day one

Yippee, me! I completed a layout for the Big Idea Festival {free} class that began yesterday over at Big Picture Classes. And, I uploaded to the Gallery, oh yeah! Now, if I can continue for the next 11 days, I'll have a really cool little album about lots of in-the-moment topics!

I'm using Momenta cardstock from the Brights Collection trimmed to 6x6, but I'm flipping it over for a more muted look {love the versatility} and will embellish each and every mini page with a shipping tag and my handwritten journaling. I've constructed a mini album from my stash to use, but first I had to destruct another to add more pages to the first one. It's not as confusing as it sounds. Really.

The shipping tags were embellished with scraps I had left on my craft desk, after packaging this mini album, using a Martha Stewart punch and a banner trimmed from some kraft paper. I plan to try to use up all my orphaned letter sticker sets for the word of the day.

  2. Love your take on the first challenge. I hope to work on mine tonight after work. Love the idea of having a little mini album by the time the 12 days are over :)
