When I made this Smash style mini book for our Anniversary, as my card to Gordon, I wasn't quite sure how he would react. Is he tired of me spilling my guts about how I feel about him inside cute little albums?
Let me just say that it appears the tradition should continue. It was a hit! As promised in my guest blogger post at Big Picture Classes last week, I'll share some pages with you.
OH, Monika! I love how it turned out!! And how perfect that those scrabble tiles have "2" on the W!! LOL! Did you include your list of 14 for 14? That is such a cute idea -- I have a feeling I'd get eye rolls, too! And I love your sentiment that love is a must, but passion is a bonus. SO true. And you are both so blessed!! :) Glad your Mr. WRight loved his book. Who wouldn't?? Seriously, what a gift from the heart. (OH! And look at you rockin' that bikini, girl!! Whoo!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kate, for saying that. I worried that I shared too much. But, I just want all those young married's out there to know that each day brings a new adventure and each challenge a renewed passion for making it all work!
DeleteYou are amazing. I just love every little thing about this. Yes, amazing indeed!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jamie, I appreciate you saying that!
DeleteMonika, love love love this mini of course! You are such an inspiration and I love reading your blog. And me and my hubby are that young couple you were talking about above. We just celebrated our one year anniversary. Is that some Dear Lizzy products you used also? I think I have the same ones. I love them!
ReplyDeleteKelly Jean - Congratulations on your first anniversary...it all just gets better from here! And yes, there's Dear Lizzy and some Smash product, too. Here's a link to the post that shares a lot of links to the items I used: http://www.iloveitallwithmonikawright.com/2012/03/my-favorite-memories-of-us-giveaway.html
DeleteHave fun, I'd love to see if you make one, too!
This really looks great and I can understand that Gordon loves it (who wouldn't?). Did you stitch through the whole lot to keep the book together? How many pages in total? I'm sure your mom's old sewing machine is more sturdy than mine!
ReplyDeleteHi Hazel...yes, I gathered all my different sized papers and stitched through the whole bunch at one time going down the middle of the book to form the spine. There are 8 card stock pages, which includes the cover, which makes a total of 16 pages when folded. Mom's Singer sewing machine is nearly 40 years old, I guess.
DeleteFabulous Smash book. Love the paperclips and journaling. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing album Monika!!! No wonder it was a hit :)
ReplyDeleteI love this book. Your husband may just be proud of you. Shape, color, design it all fits together. I wish I could make something like that. If I should marry once I would like to make such a book. But first I need to find the right :)
ReplyDeleteWow Monika! This is truly amazing, beautiful and touching!!
ReplyDeleteThank You~
