cause for celebration | somerset memories

If you follow along with me on Facebook you might remember that I had shared the news that one of my mini books was going to be featured in a magazine publication. I know, I know, I know. Pinch me.

I decided to have a little contest to see who could correctly guess which of my millions of mini's would be featured, and Altie Nicholas was the first to mention the Charleston mini book and is the winner of her very own copy of the magazine. She also happens to be one of my first blog readers and a valued Etsy customer.

The really awesome part of the whole experience was that I was contacted by an Editor and asked if I would submit my mini book. Can you believe it, they asked ME? Me? Really? What you see above is the beginning of a seven page article I wrote telling the tale of the Charleson mini book. You guys have probably heard it all before, but if you're so inclined to, feel free to purchase a copy and read the nitty gritty. It's scheduled for publication in the Fall 2011 issue which appears on stands in October. Don't worry, I'll remind you!

If you don't know them already, let me introduce you to Stampington & Company. You can take a look at their varied array of publications here {very impressive list} but I'd like to share Somerset Memories with you, as that is the magazine my Charleston mini book will be featured in. I will more than likely be kind of geeky and browse all the book and craft stores in our area taking photos of the magazine on the shelves. Wonder who I could bribe to take a photo of me reading the article about MY mini book?

Tell me, please, what's your cause for celebration these days? I'd love to do a happy dance for you as well!
